Kimberly Parra

Kimberly Parra is a PhD student in the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics in the College of Public Health. Prior to starting her graduate studies at UA, she worked as a community advocate and researcher in the agricultural communities of the Salinas Valley, California. Her research interests are to investigate chemical contamination among children and mothers. Ms. Parra’s dissertation involves the examination of statewide pesticide applications and maternal pregnancy complications in Arizona. As a Carson scholar, her goal is to link the communication of epidemiological evidence to advocacy and policy in low-resourced communities in Arizona.
