Talitha's research explores the potential of agrivoltaics – the integration of solar panels above crop production to create a shaded environment – as a sustainable solution to mitigate heat exposure among farmworkers in the United States. By combining field measurements, mathematical modeling, and farmworker experiences, her research aims to provide actionable solutions that address the need to simultaneously improve agricultural production, climate change resilience, and farmworker safety.
